Jasper:

In Greek, jasper means" spotted stone". In ancient times it was used as an amulet against sight disturbances and drought. Found in India, Russia, U.S, and France, jasper is a stone of harmony and proportion. The finely grained jasper contains up to 20% foreign particles that give it its interesting color combinations. As a result there are many varieties of jasper including leopardskin jasper – a "fall" shade. And zebra-stone, poppy, picture, ironite, and flower jasper. The names are descriptive and fit the stone.
